Holy cards are small pictures of saints or religious scene with a prayer on the backside which are used by faithful Christians. Mainly holy cards are spread throughout Roman Catholics but lately, it has become common also for Orthodox Christians and Protestant Christians.

For Roman Catholics, there are special holy cards which are printed for funerals. They depict the picture of a person who they commemorate. There are also holy cards which have a picture of baptism or other religious anniversaries.

We are happy to announce that postcard category on Colnect keeps on growing and this time it reached the milestone of 100,001.

Deltiologists collect postcards for various reasons. Some are just attracted to postcards, while others are trying to collect postcards with some specific theme

We are happy to announce that bookmarks catalog recently has hit its first milestone of 2,552 items on Colnect.

Since ancient times people have had a need of tracking their progress while reading and that's why bookmarks have a really long history. Earliest bookmarks are dated from the 6th century AD.

Even though bookmarks were used from very early on, they became popular only after printed books appeared. The reason being that first printed books were very expensive and people needed a way to mark their place in the book without damaging it.
